About the Artist
These whimsical and functional pieces are cut from pine, sanded, and carved in the artist's studio. She then paints each piece, using latex house paint and a protective finish. The pieces are adorned with buttons, painted steel, rusty metal objects, painted wood stars and hearts, and hand-cast pewter. Because each item is individually created no two items are exactly the same. Items may vary slightly from the images on the website. Each order is unique.
Elisa is the daughter of artists Don and Lisa Drumm, so at a very young age she was encouraged to explore and create, often studying with some of America's top artists/craftsmen. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BA in textiles. After several years as a colorist/designer in New York, she moved to the Boston area and established her own line of hand printed clothing. For the past seven years she has been working in wood using pine plank to cut, sand, and paint whimsical and functional pieces.
