About the Artist
Born in Wichita, Ks from the artistic imagination of Eric Carroll and his father-in-law, Richard Turner. Eric brings creativity, Richard brings tenacity—each trait critical for the success of Desert Steel. Both men, inspired by nature itself, joined forces to create a piece of art that is tough and rugged, yet embodies the majesty and beauty of nature.They started with a Saguaro (since we have a lot of those in Kansas), one of nature's most inspiring icons. The Saguaro set the foundation for a journey of artistry and excellence. In late 2003, Eric and Richard took this first generation Steel Saguaro to their first art show.
