About the Artist
Melinda Evans is an American artist who has been designing and creating singular necklaces and earrings since 2001. This is her second career. She has her M.A. degree in the teaching of Spanish and is retired after teaching for 35 years.
Her love of fine jewelry led her to collect gemstone beads when she and her husband would travel during summer vacations. She uses quality gemstone beads, sterling silver charms, milagros, vermeil, Swarovski crystal beads, Venetian glass beads, Hill Tribe, Bali, sterling silver beads and findings. She has taken many classes to learn color, jewelry creation and the elements of design.
Her signature pieces include a sterling silver windmill which represents her affection for Don Quijote: “When you wear a piece of my jewelry, it lifts your spirits and helps you fight the daily windmills.”
Melinda designs and creates all her work in her Tubac, Arizona home.
